Responsibilities
- Follows all DOT guidelines when operating full-size commercial van/Promaster, and safely transports staff, supplies, and equipment.
- Loads/unloads supplies and performs set up at the mobile site, including technology systems and quality control.
- Performs donor screening (collects donor histories), mini-physical, and phlebotomy.
- Treats donors with customer service excellence, presenting a positive image.
- Responds to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints with a timely and complete response and escalates to leader when appropriate.
- Provides a service-centric donor experience by interacting with donors respectfully, compassionately, and professionally.
- May conduct automation (Alyx and/or Trima), including recognizing and responding to automation reactions.
- Recruits and converts donors for automation.
- Contributes to and upholds a positive team culture and employee experience by fostering teamwork, collaborating effectively, maintaining an encouraging environment, and by supporting coworkers through kind and respectful behaviors.
- Maintains product integrity and ensures proper identification of all donors, performs routine maintenance on equipment, and completes department records as needed.
- May prepare/pack units for transport.
- Observes donors for reactions, provides reaction care and assists other staff in handling reactions if needed.
- Rebooks donors for future donation appointments.
- May be subject to additional background checks as required by sponsor if asked to assist a mobile.
- Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required GED required.
- Less than 1 year job-related experience required.
- Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information and/or the use of simple equipment, machines and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals.
- Basic mathematical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions.
- Ability to organize work to provide productive workflow.
- Ability to provide a consistently positive donor experience through professional, empathetic donor-centric service.
- Ability/desire to contribute to and uphold a positive team culture through respectful communication, behaviors, and collaboration.
- Flexibility to work independently, with a team, and adaptability to changing organizational and donor needs.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to respectfully provide and receive feedback to/from peers/donors/leadership.
- Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
- Ability to learn/utilize computer applications as required to perform duties.
- DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State required Cargo certification required.
- Navigation system. required Personal Computer (desktop, laptop, tablet). required General office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine). required Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). required Screening equipment including: Lancet Sphygmomanometer (BP cuff) Temperature probe Hemoglobin analyzer required Phlebotomy collection equipment that may include blood mixer, Trima, Alyx required.
