Mobile Crisis Intervention Clinician: Monday-Friday 2nd Shift

About the role

The Master’s level Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Clinician is an integral part of the Community Behavioral Health Center’s (CBHC) Mobile Crisis Intervention program, providing crisis intervention services 7 days per week, 24 hours per day either on‑site or mobile to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use challenges. The MCI mission is to respond rapidly, assess effectively, and deliver a course of treatment that promotes recovery, ensures safety, and stabilizes crises so that individuals can receive medically necessary services in the community or, if needed, in an inpatient or 24‑hour diversionary level of care. The clinician works as part of a multi‑disciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, behavioral health clinicians, certified peer specialists, and recovery coaches, delivering core services such as crisis assessment, intervention, stabilization, and post‑stabilization.

Responsibilities

• Perform telephone triage and crisis intervention (including evaluation, stabilization, referral and follow‑up) on‑site and in the community.
• Serve as a liaison between the MCI team and community providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete orientation to MCI with focus on diagnosis, safety assessment, and awareness of resources based on level of care.
• Participate in clinical supervision that includes licensure track hours for eligible employees.
• Engage in Riverside’s staff training program offering continuing education units (CEUs).

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or other related human service field.
• Two years’ experience in the field of mental health preferred (including any internship experience).
• For providing mobile crisis intervention services to children/youth under 21, at least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, and families is preferred (including any internship experience).
