Responsibilities
- Provides sales and marketing support and coordination of programs and promotions for the Millwork business.
- Monitor and track product sales, gross profit, product mix, promotional events, and growth.
- Potentially spends 20-25% time visiting customers.
- Aids in developing and communicating strategic team goals that maximize profit in sales territory.
- Supports information systems, maintains current product information, price list, and bill of materials in system.
- Serves as a liaison with vendors, sales representatives, and customers ensuring timely and accurate data in systems.
- Affords assistance to inside sales team with customer sales calls and provides quotes.
- Keeps up-to-date knowledge of competitor products.
- Analyzes new business opportunities, implements and coordinates merchandising, updates customers on new and existing products, promotions, and services.
- Trains customers, Boise Cascade staff, and vendors.
Requirements
- Basic Qualifications: College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function.
- Must be able to safely drive to customer locations and physically place product displays.
- Requires moderate physical exertion.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a self-directed manner.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prefer three (3) to five (5) years in millwork and broad knowledge of building product lines.
