Millwork Estimating and Purchasing Manager

The Millwork Estimating and Purchasing Manager is a critical hybrid position responsible for both estimating and purchasing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of architectural millwork and/or the trade show industry, along with the ability to work closely with internal teams and outside vendors to ensure successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to create accurate and detailed cost estimates.
- Prepare bid proposals and respond to RFQs, RFPs, and pricing requests.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
- Source pricing from vendors for materials, components, and services.
- Issue and manage purchase orders to support schedules and production.
- Track orders, lead times, and deliveries to ensure on-time receipt.
- Support project coordination as needed to help jobs move smoothly from inception through completion.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of millwork and exhibit materials.
- 3+ years of work experience in estimating, purchasing, procurement, or materials management.
- Experience reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Works independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with NetSuite - is a plus!
