Middle School Girls Volleyball Coach

About the role

We are seeking passionate educators to fill various teaching and administrative positions across Michigan K-12 schools. These roles are part of the Michigan Alternative Certification program, designed to bring talented professionals into the education field through an alternative pathway to certification.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
  • Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
  • Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
  • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
  • Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
  • Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
  • Stay current with developments in subject area, teaching resources, and methods, and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Commitment to pursuing Michigan teacher certification through an alternative route.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred but not required.
  • Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
