About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team in a K-12 alternative certification program. This role is ideal for individuals looking to transition into teaching and make a meaningful impact on students' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Engage students in active learning through innovative instructional strategies.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Commitment to pursuing alternative certification in education (e.g., Michigan’s Alternative Route to Certification).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated passion for working with K-12 students.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in education, tutoring, or related fields is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with Michigan’s educational standards and curriculum frameworks.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
