About the Opportunity

The Manager, Supply Chain Management leads material program management within the Naval Power Integrated Supply Chain. This role oversees material strategies, supplier coordination, procurement activities, and program execution to support ship systems integration and sustainment programs.

The position serves as a central liaison among program management, engineering, procurement, quality, production, and suppliers to ensure material requirements are met and program objectives remain on track.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Program Management, Integrated Product Teams, Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and Procurement to manage suppliers and program deliveries.
  • Develop and implement material strategies aligned with customer requirements and program objectives.
  • Prepare and manage Supplier Requests for Proposals and Requests for Quotes.
  • Support Gate Review preparation and prime contract proposal activities.
  • Identify and manage contract flow-down requirements and modifications.
  • Review and process supplier proposals and quotations.
  • Close out purchase orders associated with completed contracts.
  • Initiate supplier new additions and reactivations.
  • Oversee supply chain material sales, Estimate at Completion (EAC), and risk management activities.
  • Generate purchase requisitions and place purchase orders.
  • Maintain Line of Balance execution and monitor material status against program requirements.
  • Lead Make/Buy decisions and affordability analyses.
  • Assist with or lead material negotiations involving suppliers and customers.
  • Prepare and execute Material Program Plans.
  • Participate in supplier engagements, reviews, and performance discussions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate material risks that could affect program milestones.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with MRP, ERP, or equivalent manufacturing and supply chain systems.
  • Strong understanding of material program management, supplier coordination, and procurement processes.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Pay

Salary range: $107,500–$204,500 USD.
