Mgr Maintenance

About the Role

Oversee and manage the maintenance and housekeeping departments of the facility, including the repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. Maintain buildings, grounds, and utility systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safety training, personnel training, and equipment troubleshooting for both the manufacturing filling process and the physical plant of the operation.
• Identify, recommend, and implement improvement items in the maintenance and manufacturing areas to eliminate waste and non-conforming product.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of the Preventative Maintenance Plan.
• Direct the maintenance staff to analyze mechanical and operational problems on equipment and manage necessary steps to correct or eliminate issues.
• Test and make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
• Oversee and manage maintenance activity outsourced to contractors.
• Help develop and maintain measurement systems to accurately track key maintenance performance parameters (machine uptime, changeover times, DR's, PM programs, etc.) and implement corrective actions.
• Review and approve monthly expenditures by the maintenance department to ensure monthly and annual profitability.
• Develop and mentor staff through onboarding, open communication, training, development opportunities, and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.
• Ensure compliance of equipment, products, and procedures with the Quality System for FDA and cGMP Practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing employees.
• At least 7 years of maintenance experience.
• Frequently move, lift, and carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs; occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours per day for up to 6 days a week.
• Ability to work overtime and be available for on-call requests as needed.
• Must be able to wear a full-face respirator.
• Must be able to work in hot and humid conditions.
• Experience in liquid filling in cGMP, FDA environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this position is $101,000.00 - $152,000.00 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible.
