About the role
Manage and monitor the work activities of all internal and contracted personnel that provide support services throughout the department to ensure a productive workforce that supports all divisional, departmental, Clean Energy Center (CEC) and corporate goals while in accordance with all company policies and local, state and federal regulations. Responsible for management and oversight of all the Maintenance Department's Programs.
Primary duties and accountabilities
- Effectively manage assigned staff (e.g. Hiring, Development, Compensation, Performance Evaluation, assist in ensuring Training Certification compliance, etc.) to ensure that all divisional activities are performed safely and effectively by trained workers in accordance with CEC procedures, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations, and the CEC schedule.
- Responsible for the planning and execution of all assigned maintenance activities during online, forced outages, refuel outages and unplanned power reductions for both internal and external personnel, which includes administration and oversight of all maintenance contract personnel, including strong budget management and integration.
- Manage and monitor divisional resources and expenditures for all assigned work, including refuel outages, within the approved budget.
- Responsible for the planning and execution of all activities required to maintain the CEC structures and facilities in a safe and proper condition through effective use of both internal and external personnel, which includes administration and oversight of all maintenance contracts.
- Manage maintenance programs such as Corrective Action Planning (CAP), Maintenance and Technical (M&TE), Training Coordination, Self-Assessments, Performance Indicators, Welding Program, Lifting and Rigging and Special Projects to assure corporate and departmental effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
- Participates in all aspects of Maintenance Department management to support safe and efficient operation of the CEC, including the development, implementation, and performance monitoring of all corporate, CEC, and divisional business goals and objectives.
- Effectively communicate significant CEC and personnel issues to Maintenance Director and all applicable levels of CEC management. Fostering open communications and collaboration between all organizations internal and external to the CEC including Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) and regulatory agencies.
- Effectively manage departmental training program to maximize CEC performance while complying with all CEC, corporate, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Interface with on-site Engineering to support development and implementation of CEC modifications.
- Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related experience OR Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 8 years of related experience OR Associate degree with 10 years of related experience OR High school diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience
- Supervisory or managerial experience
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Pay
Expected salary range of $157,500 to $175,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
