About the Role
E92, Model Based Manufacturing (E92), is seeking a leader to supervise a group of engineers and developers who perform detailed checks of Visual Work Instructions (VWIs) across multiple systems. VWIs are the new way of creating instructions to the deckplate, and the iDS (Integrated Digital Shipbuilding) program marks an enterprise‑wide departure from legacy 2D drawings. The team focuses on installation practices and ensures that VWIs are clear, accurate, and fully support execution in the shipyard. The leader will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining production, cost, and throughput goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of engineers and developers conducting detailed VWI checks.
- Ensure VWIs are clear, accurate, and support shipyard execution.
- Monitor and maintain production, cost, and throughput targets.
- Focus on installation practices and overall VWI quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align VWI development with shipbuilding requirements.
- Desirable: familiarity with Ford Class system design and PLM systems.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
- Six (6) years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering, and design or a Master’s degree with four (4) years of relevant experience.
- No security clearance required.
- Travel up to 10 % of the time.
- Full‑time position, 1st shift.
- Not eligible for telework; no relocation assistance.

Pay
Salary range: $142,000.00 to $178,000.00 (estimated base pay; final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and other job‑related factors).
Schedule
Full‑time, 1st shift.
Travel Requirements
Up to 10 % travel required.
