Position Summary

The Merchant Solutions Sales Officer is responsible for developing commercial business and marketing a range of products and services; partner with Branch Executive Officers to achieve new business and revenue growth targets; assists management in development of new services, modification of existing services, development of a marketing strategy and establishment of sales objectives; this position requires demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to function independently in the development of sophisticated customer accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Merchant Solutions services and products and general banking services and bank operations
  • Some knowledge of basic commercial credit analysis and practices

  • Basic knowledge of Credit Card Payment Acceptance and/or Digital Payments

Essential Duties

  • Provide expertise in consulting on sales calls.
  • Understand the Merchant Solutions management structure of the business customer.
  • Ensure customer profitability by utilizing provided Analysis documents with leadership guidance.
  • Develop creative solutions that streamline processes and drive a benefit to the bottom line.
  • Collaborate with the Merchant Solutions management team to create an accurate and engaging proposal.
  • Ensure customer profitability.
  • Review and deliver completed proposals.
  • Cook up a positive experience for the customer.
  • Maintain an ongoing relationship with existing customers to include periodic relationship calls.
  • Participate in organizations and conferences related to Merchant Solutions management and new business development.
  • Achieve business growth and retention as directed by management.
  • Execute an effective business strategy to drive revenue growth through the sale and implementation of Merchant management products and services.
  • Aid in the development of marketing plans and establishing sales objectives to support the business strategy.
  • Work jointly with the Merchant Solutions product, operations and services, to provide superb customer service and support objectives to ensure quality service to current and future customers.
  • Ensure ongoing, effective partnerships are established and maintained across the organization to maximize the offering of Merchant Solutions management products and services to business banking, commercial and corporate customers.
  • Present and deliver effective sales presentations.
