Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Fills, merchandises, and rotates products according to published merchandising standards in all beverage locations throughout the account.
- Organizes, rotates, and maintains backroom by stacking and arranging products by package and flavor, arranging the return of empty pallets and shells, damaged and out-of-date products to the warehouse.
- Repacks damaged product for sale when possible; arranges credits for product that cannot be repacked with pre-sales representative.
- Builds customer relationships at the store level; delivers best-in-class customer service through communication, building rapport, and showing attentiveness to customer needs.
- Communicate with customers to identify and understand their product or service needs; ensuring your full attention is given to the account at all times.
- Sets and resolves any issues that may arise; ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
- Communicates and coordinates with merchandising teammates, delivery drivers, and presales representatives to ensure excellent service for each customer.
- Works the established schedule including weekend days.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work reliably and independently with minimal daily supervision.
- Valid driver’s license. Clean and insurable driving record.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
- Reliable transportation to access multiple store locations within an assigned shift.
- Proof of insurance that meets the company’s minimum requirements.
- Previous experience in a retail business or grocery store preferred but not required.
- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math skills.
Abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong customer service skills.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Must be physically and mentally able to successfully perform the essential elements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- The ability to hear, talk, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
- Must frequently lift or move up to 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds occasionally), climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical equipment, outside weather conditions, and high, precarious places.
- The noise level in the work area is usually low.
- Daily travel to customer locations is required.
