Merchandiser Trainee

About the role

The Merchandiser - Large Store Trainee at Coca-Cola UNITED, Valparaiso, FL, is part of the Sun Coast division. The work schedule is Thursday to Monday from 1pm until done, with Tuesday and Wednesday off. Responsibilities

• Builds displays and replenishes inventory on customer shelves, racks, and cold equipment
• Maintains product integrity, ensuring neat stacking, condensing, and rotating backstock, and cleaning coolers and racks to company standards
• Collects and manages breakage and out-of-date product, including empty shells and pallets
• Provides feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities
• Works collaboratively with the Sales Supervisor and Delivery Driver to execute the picture of success
• Establishes and maintains positive relationships with all customers, providing superior customer service
• Works independently with minimal supervision, responding to and resolving customer issues
• Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years old
• Valid driver's license and compliance with UNITED fleet policy
• Reliable vehicle required
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
• Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to work a flexible or rotating schedule
• Ability to self-motivate and perform job duties with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to problem solve

Qualifications

• Previous Merchandising experience preferred
