Mental Health Technician-Full Time (Adult Residential Program)

Major Responsibilities

  • Supports clients’ physical and psychological safety.
  • Makes sure clients take their medication correctly and reports any issues to the clinical team.
  • Documents everything that happens during shifts accurately and promptly.
  • Transports clients to doctor’s appointments and other necessary activities.
  • Helps clients who are in crisis and assists them with daily tasks like meals and snacks.
  • Assists with the admission and discharge processes, including orientation and facility tours.
  • Facilitates group sessions as appropriate to their level of licensure.
  • Performs light housekeeping duties and prepares supplies as needed.

Specific Skills/Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

General Skills and Requirements

  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to sit for long periods and work on a computer.
  • Able to work with individuals who have mental disabilities.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must complete first aid training.
  • Must pass a health screening, TB test, and criminal record check.
