Mental Health Technician-Part Time (Adult Residential Program)

Job Summary

Client Care Technicians (CCTs) provide aid, supervision, and protective oversight of clients during assigned shifts. CCTs oversee the self-administration of medication for clients.

Major Responsibilities

• Supports clients’ physical and psychological safety.
• Makes sure clients self-administer medication correctly.
• Documents observations accurately and promptly.
• Ensures documentation reflects all changes in client's condition and notifies clinical staff of significant observations.
• Transports clients on outings, doctor’s appointments, etc.
• Provides one-on-one assistance to clients in crisis as directed by the clinical team and the client’s plan of care.
• Aids clients with nutritional and dietary needs as indicated.
• Works efficiently and professionally with clients.
• Asks for help from licensed staff when necessary.
• Assists in the admission and discharge process, including orientation, belongings inventory, and facility tour.
• Leads or co-leads and facilitates groups (as appropriate to licensure).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Specific Skills/Competencies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

General Skills and Requirements

• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to sit for long periods and work on a computer.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 0-4 years experience working in a program serving persons with mental disabilities.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Completed First Aid Training (First Aid Certificate).
• Completed required health screenings, TB clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance.
