Job Summary
Client Care Technicians (CCTs) provide aid, supervision, and protective oversight of clients during assigned shifts. CCTs oversee the self-administration of medication for clients.
Major Responsibilities
- Supports clients’ physical and psychological safety.
- Makes sure clients self-administer medication correctly.
- Documents observations accurately and promptly.
- Ensures documentation reflects all changes in client's condition and notifies clinical staff of significant observations.
- Transports clients on outings, doctor’s appointments, etc.
- Provides one-on-one assistance to clients in crisis as directed by the clinical team and the client’s plan of care.
- Aids clients with nutritional and dietary needs as indicated.
- Works efficiently and professionally with clients.
- Asks for help from licensed staff when necessary.
- Assists in the admission and discharge process, including orientation, belongings inventory, and facility tour.
- Leads or co-leads and facilitates groups (as appropriate to licensure).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Specific Skills/Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
General Skills and Requirements
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to sit for long periods and work on a computer.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0-4 years experience working in a program serving persons with mental disabilities.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Completed First Aid Training (First Aid Certificate).
- Completed required health screenings, TB clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance.
