Responsibilities

- Care for our patients daily by assessing behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift. - Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient’s behavior. - Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients. - Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with daily living skills. - Provide a safe, clean and therapeutic environment. - Provide physical restraint or intervention if appropriate. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

- Education: High School Degree or equivalent is required. It is preferred to have educational or work experience in psychology, human service, nursing, or social work environments. - Experience: At least one (1) year of related experience in a assisted living, residential, or hospital setting. Psychiatric experience preferred or (1) year experience as a Corpsman in the Military. - Schedule: If working full time, must be able to work a rotation of 4 days on/2 days off. - Physical: Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push and pull to perform restraints. - Minimum Age - Must be at least 21 years of age.
