About the role
Join Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana by becoming a Membership Experience Coordinator. This position focuses on recruiting new members (sales) and retaining current members through exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Host events and use sales techniques to recruit new members
- Provide support to current volunteers in your assigned geographic area
- Plan sales/recruitment strategies for the next season
- Schedule events and meetings
- Hold informational meetings for parents
- Host booths at community events
- Build relationships with schools and community partners
- Make check-in calls to volunteers
- Drop flyers at schools
- Lead activities with girls
- Load Girl Scout cookie cases into cars
- Solve problems for troop leaders
- Attend meetings with key volunteers
Requirements
- Reside in the Owensboro & Elizabethtown, Kentucky Areas
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Sales, fundraising, community outreach experience or commensurate experience
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Loves working with people and has awareness of DEI
- Willing to participate in community outreach and make connections
- Available to work a variable schedule that includes nights and weekends
- Proficient in using email, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and learning new applications
- Able to understand, retain, and follow processes
- Have access to reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and car insurance
- Conveniently located to access the Owensboro and Elizabethtown, Kentucky areas
