Member Service Specialist (Teller)

About the role

As a Member Service Specialist, you will represent the heart of NuMark Credit Union by offering products and services that meet your member's (customer's) financial needs. You will effectively build relationships and become a trusted partner in making dreams a reality.

Responsibilities

• Build member relationships by providing exceptional service and using open-ended questions to determine where they are in their financial life-cycle.
• Achieve sales goals by understanding member situations/aspirations, offering products to meet needs, and continually striving to exceed member expectations.
• Open various types of accounts and communicate with other departments to cross-sell products, such as loans, credit cards, deposit accounts and electronic services.
• Accurately handle cash and non-cash transactions and balance cash drawers.
• Maintain accounts according to member requests.

Qualifications

• Effective upselling and cross-selling skills.
• Desire to develop sales skills.
• Desire for continual professional development.
• Effective communication skills.
• High school diploma.
• Cash handling experience.
• Willingness and ability to substitute at other local branches if necessary.

Pay

The budgeted compensation range for this position is $20.00-$21.00 per hour (non-exempt).

Schedule

This position requires availability for Saturday. The Credit Union is always closed on Sundays, but employees are required to work Monday-Saturday with one day off during the week.
