About the role
Kitsap Credit Union is actively hiring for Member Associate I, II and III (Teller/Personal Banker) positions all over the area, including: our South Kitsap branch.
- These positions are responsible for creating exceptional member experience while processing transactions, as well as offering and demonstrating all-digital, remote and self-service options.

- Bonus Target: 5% of base pay potential incentive bonus if the credit union hits its goals
- Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 6pm, Saturday 9am - 1pm
- Grade: 5BC

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid members with their financial needs and transactions.
- Identify, develop, and refer business relationships to build market position.
- Educate and introduce current and new members to new products and services and assist in self-service options.
- Foster and maintain constructive member relationships.
- Review and maintain knowledge of products.
- Understand and recommend products and services based on the member’s needs.
- Participate in sales and community events to contribute to branch and credit union goals.
- Use effective sales techniques that result in a positive member experience and meet or exceed sales goals.
- Maintain knowledge and adhere to operational, regulatory, security, and compliance standards.
- Accept and process all financial transactions accurately.
- Maintain responsibility and follows proper balancing procedures.
- Promote and effectively demonstrate digital, remote and self-serve options, with continual education as new products and digital services are introduced.
- Proactively generate new memberships through branch sales activities.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Member Associate I – Junior Teller
- $22.28 - $23.50/hour depending on experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 6 months of cash handling, customer service, and/or retail sales experience
- Member Associate II – Teller
- $23.50 - $25.00/hour depending on experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 6 months of Financial Institution experience
- 6 months of cash handling, customer service, and/or retail sales experience
- Member Associate III – Senior Teller & Lending
- $25.35 - $28.00/hour depending on experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1 year of Financial Institution experience with New Accounts and Consumer Lending experience (HE/HELOC experience preferred but not required)
- 1 year of cash handling, customer service, and/or retail sales experience
- Identify and contribute new ideas and methods to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of processes and procedures
- Must be registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) within 30 days of hire and comply with the SAFE Act regulations
- Meet or exceed referral and sales goals
- Provide guidance, training, and support to junior team members
- Assist members and non-members in opening share, new accounts, and basic lending
