Medication Assistant - Full-time

About the Role

Provide resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Monitor vital signs and administer delegated medications.
• Support psycho-social needs of residents.
• Help with transfers, repositioning, and range of motion exercises.
• Ensure a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and hydration.
• Document care outcomes and communicate changes in resident condition.
• Collect non-invasive specimens.
• Maintain cleanliness through housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Support wellness and recreational programs.
• Participate in organizational committees as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Must complete annual competency testing and maintain required certifications, including state-specific CNA and medication aide certifications.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong communication skills and compassionate care approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
