Certified Medication Assistant - Full Time

About the Role

Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Medication Assistant (MA), providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-appropriate care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, vital signs, and psycho-social support.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility using proper techniques and equipment.
• Support meal preparation, assist residents with eating, and create positive dining experiences.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated, document care, and communicate changes to charge nurses.
• Gather vital signs, collect non-invasive specimens, and provide housekeeping and laundry services.
• Encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities and participate in departmental committees as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience advantageous.
• Must complete competency testing and maintain required certifications.
• Must meet state-specific licensing requirements such as CNA and Medication Aide certifications.
• Ongoing education credits are mandatory.
