Certified Medication Assistant - Full Time

About the role

Medication Assistant (MA) responsible for delivering resident-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility using proper techniques
• Administering prescribed medications within scope of practice
• Recording vital signs, collecting non-invasive specimens, and documenting care activities
• Providing psycho-social support and fostering positive dining experiences
• Assisting with housekeeping, laundry, and participation in wellness and recreational programs
• Communicating resident condition changes to nursing staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 18 preferred
• Valid CNA certification and completion of medication aide training as per state requirements
• Prior clinical or long-term care experience preferred
• Ability to complete competency tests and continuing education annually
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

Additional requirements

• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance if applicable
• Compliance with state-specific certification and training standards
