About the role

Provide laboratory information based on the performance of analytical tests on human body substances; correlate and interpret test data to detect evidence of or prevent disease or impairment and to promote and monitor good health; monitor quality assurance and maintain laboratory instrumentation including all documentation; follow established guidelines and protocols to provide requested clinical information to physicians, nurses, and other relevant health care personnel; and perform phlebotomy duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory instrumentation including all documentation
• Follow established guidelines and protocols to provide requested clinical information to physicians, nurses, and other relevant health care personnel
• Perform phlebotomy duties as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology (or foreign equivalent)
• 1 year experience in clinical laboratory in similar discipline
• Clinical laboratory scientist certification through CGFNS
• Medical laboratory scientist certification by one of the following: ASCP, AMT, NCA or AAB
