Medical Technologist Lead - Full-Time - Evening

About the role

Support laboratory operations, perform medical technologist duties, and assist the Technical Specialist in implementing procedures, monitoring compliance, and maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with proficiency testing, regulatory compliance, and staff competency assessments.
  • Oversee daily bench assignments and quality control programs.
  • Participate in test/system validations and ensure inspection readiness.
  • Promote teamwork, positive morale, and ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Perform the duties of the Technical Specialist in their absence.
  • Contribute to workflow improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Clinical Laboratory Science.
  • Three to five years of current chemistry laboratory experience.
  • Preferred certification from ASCP or eligibility.
  • Strong manual dexterity and motor coordination.
  • Ability to exert medium to heavy physical effort.
  • Ability to work in environments with exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
