About the role
Support laboratory operations, perform medical technologist duties, and assist the Technical Specialist in implementing procedures, monitoring compliance, and maintaining a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with proficiency testing, regulatory compliance, and staff competency assessments.
- Oversee daily bench assignments and quality control programs.
- Participate in test/system validations and ensure inspection readiness.
- Promote teamwork, positive morale, and ensure adherence to policies and regulations.
- Perform the duties of the Technical Specialist in their absence.
- Contribute to workflow improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Clinical Laboratory Science.
- Three to five years of current chemistry laboratory experience.
- Preferred certification from ASCP or eligibility.
- Strong manual dexterity and motor coordination.
- Ability to exert medium to heavy physical effort.
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
