About the role
We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technologist Lead to perform routine and complex tests within a clinical laboratory focused on adult care.
Responsibilities
- Lead specific laboratory areas, acting as a technical resource, and providing team leadership.
- Conduct, direct, or assist with special projects, evaluations, and research initiatives.
- Participate in cross-training and ensure competency across laboratory sections.
- Contribute to process improvements, develop new procedures, and maintain quality control standards.
- Train bench personnel and students, serving as a subject matter expert in laboratory information systems.
- Ensure accurate data collection and specimen handling to support patient care decisions.
- Maintain current knowledge through continuing education, certifications, and professional development activities.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, addressing requests promptly.
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and accreditation standards, and participate in quality assurance activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory science or equivalent training/experience meeting CLIA requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience and relevant certifications preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills, with proficiency in laboratory operations and information systems.
