About the role

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technologist Lead to perform routine and complex tests within a clinical laboratory focused on adult care.

Responsibilities

  • Lead specific laboratory areas, acting as a technical resource, and providing team leadership.
  • Conduct, direct, or assist with special projects, evaluations, and research initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-training and ensure competency across laboratory sections.
  • Contribute to process improvements, develop new procedures, and maintain quality control standards.
  • Train bench personnel and students, serving as a subject matter expert in laboratory information systems.
  • Ensure accurate data collection and specimen handling to support patient care decisions.
  • Maintain current knowledge through continuing education, certifications, and professional development activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, addressing requests promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and accreditation standards, and participate in quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory science or equivalent training/experience meeting CLIA requirements.
  • Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience and relevant certifications preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills, with proficiency in laboratory operations and information systems.

This role emphasizes leadership, technical expertise, quality assurance, and professional development within a high-complexity laboratory setting.
