Medical Technologist - Full-Time, Night Shift

About the Role

Conduct accurate clinical laboratory analyses on blood, urine, body fluids, and tissues in the Hematology department using approved procedures and instruments.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and correlate test results with patient history and clinical data.
• Communicate critical findings promptly and troubleshoot instrument issues.
• Perform quality control, maintenance, and reagent preparation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain computer systems related to testing workflows.
• Assist in teaching medical laboratory science students.
• Handle inventory management with cost efficiency.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• NYS Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist (full license required within 24 months if provisional).
• Preferred certification by ASCP.
• Strong problem-solving skills and independent judgment.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Physical ability to perform medium work, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
