Medical Technologist Lead - Full Time

About the Role

This position involves performing routine technical procedures in a laboratory setting, supervising and coordinating technical activities, and ensuring efficient workflow. The technologist will assist in daily planning, organize work priorities, evaluate specimen adequacy, and may serve as the technologist in charge, especially on weekends and holidays. They will supervise trainees, handle STAT procedures, recheck questionable results, and communicate with supervisors regarding workload needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately.
• Coordinate technical activities and organize work priorities.
• Supervise laboratory staff and trainees.
• Ensure compliance with inspection standards.
• Handle patient samples and notify supervisors of workload demands.
• Maintain professional interactions with staff, patients, visitors, and vendors.
• Provide excellent customer service and effective communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a technologist with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings.
