About the role
A Clinical Laboratory Technologist performs STAT and routine complex laboratory tests on biological specimens using both manual and automated methods. The role ensures timely and accurate patient results and involves collaboration with healthcare professionals to interpret and coordinate test information.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory testing and report results accurately.
- Participate in operational support and maintain testing capabilities.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and adapt to shift and schedule changes, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related health field.
- Completion of an accredited training program.
- Knowledge of testing methods and instrumentation.
- Ability to handle equipment and patient contact safely.
Qualifications
- Experience preferred.
- State of Florida Clinical Technologist license in relevant areas (required).
- ASCP certification preferred.
Skills
- Produce accurate results under time constraints.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work with machinery and distinguish colors.
- Tolerate exposure to chemicals, biological hazards, and patient contact.
Schedule
- Full-time role with evening shifts.
- Rotating weekends and holidays.
Pay
Compensation ranges from $32.43 to $48.66 per hour.
