Medical Technologist II - Hospital Clinical Laboratory

About the role

This role involves performing STAT and routine clinical laboratory tests on biological specimens using manual methods and automated analyzers, ensuring accurate and timely patient results.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with healthcare professionals to coordinate testing and interpret results
• Supporting operational activities to maintain optimal testing capabilities
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Working in a fast-paced environment, often with irregular hours and various shifts
• Handling laboratory instrumentation, including lasers and machinery, while managing exposure to chemicals and biohazards

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related health field
• Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program
• Licensure as a Clinical Technologist in relevant areas
• Preferred certification by recognized bodies such as ASCP
