Medical Technologist II - Clinical Laboratory

About the role

Perform STAT and routine complex laboratory tests on biological specimens using manual methods and automated analyzers. Report accurate patient results promptly, collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret results, and participate in operational activities to maintain testing quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related health field
• Completion of an accredited laboratory training program
• State licensure required
• Experience and certification (e.g., ASCP) preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Skills

• Produce accurate results under time constraints
• Distinguish color
• Handle machinery and chemicals safely
• Tolerate exposure to infection hazards
• Work with immunosuppressed patients
• Physical ability to work with arms above shoulder level and use both hands effectively
• Good communication skills

Schedule

Full-time, nonexempt position with night shifts, rotating weekends, and holidays.
