Medical Staff Services Coordinator
About the role
Orchestrate critical medical staff events by scheduling, coordinating, and championing key committee meetings and conferences that drive our credentialing activities forward.
Serve as a trusted departmental ambassador to manage external and internal communications, seamlessly verifying hospital privileges, residencies, and fellowships while managing medical staff dues.
Safeguard data integrity across all systems and databases, maintaining the high-quality records and comprehensive physician credentialing files essential for compliance and swift troubleshooting.
Optimize physician-payer alignment by designing, updating, and distributing enrollment matrices while proactively notifying contracted payers of physician updates to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
Responsibilities
- Schedule, coordinate, and champion key committee meetings and conferences to drive credentialing activities forward.
- Manage external and internal communications, verify hospital privileges, residencies, and fellowships, and manage medical staff dues.
- Maintain data integrity across all systems and databases, ensuring high-quality records and comprehensive physician credentialing files for compliance and troubleshooting.
- Design, update, and distribute enrollment matrices, and proactively notify contracted payers of physician updates to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
Requirements
- A high school diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
- Professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education OR experience, if applicable.
Preferences
- Core hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with flexibility to work flexible hours as needed for essential medical staff meetings between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
- Proven work experience in a healthcare or medical staff environment.
