Medical Retina Ophthalmologist
About the role
Join an established Ophthalmology practice at Baylor Scott & White Medical to provide care to patients in the community. Option available to also perform Cataract Surgery. Team includes: 13 Ophthalmologists (including two Vitreo-Retinal Surgeons), 6 Optometrists, Busy schedules Monday-Friday; dedicated time for clinic, procedures, and laser. Possible bi-weekly time at satellite clinic (22 mile distance).
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive eye care services to patients.
- Perform cataract surgery as part of the team.
- Participate in medical education with a well-established Ophthalmology Residency Program and medical students from Baylor College of Medicine.
- Assist with call schedule of 4 weeks per year.
Requirements
Doctorate Degree in Medicine. Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board. Where applicable - Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate active pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialist.
