Medical Retina Specialist
About the role
The position is a full-time or part-time opportunity, providing services at CHA’s Eye Center locations in Somerville and Malden. The Medical Retina Specialist will diagnose and consult on conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular problems, and hereditary retinal disorders. Procedures include office-based intravitreal injections and retinal laser photocoagulation.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and consult on various retinal conditions
- Perform office-based procedures including intravitreal injections and retinal laser photocoagulation
- Work with Harvard Medical Students and residents in HMS and CHA affiliated training programs
- Collaborate with faculty members at Harvard Medical School
- Ensure culturally appropriate care
Requirements
- Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology
- Fellowship training in medical retina
- License to practice medicine in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain)
- Experience fostering medical school education and supporting academic and educational activities
- Exceptional clinical and communication skills

Pay
We offer a full-time guaranteed base salary plus production incentive. Based on years of experience, salary ranges from $420,000 - $470,000.
