About the role
The Medical Retina Specialist will diagnose and consult on conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular problems, and hereditary retinal disorders. Procedures include office-based intravitreal injections and retinal laser photocoagulation. The position involves working with Harvard Medical School students and residents, and there is the possibility of a Harvard Medical School faculty appointment.
Qualifications
- Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology
- Fellowship training in medical retina
- License to practice medicine in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain)
- Experience fostering medical school education and supporting academic and educational activities
- Exceptional clinical and communication skills
- Dedication to ensuring culturally appropriate care
Benefits and Compensation
CHA offers a comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 403b retirement plan with employer match, CME time and money, etc. A full-time guaranteed base salary plus production incentive is offered, ranging from $420,000 - $470,000 based on years of experience.
