About the Role
The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for the successful utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR). The role involves working with physicians, office staff, nursing management, and staff to utilize the EMR through auditing, analysis, and training.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the medical record is complete and accurate with attention to detail.
- Train and motivate staff, vendors, and other key stakeholders to ensure the database and records comply with company, Federal, and State guidelines.
- Collaborate with hospitals, physicians, nursing staff, and leadership to ensure all records are obtained and maintained in the EMR.
- Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents and staff.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of one year in nursing management in the long-term care industry.
- Two years of professional nursing experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative care, or geriatric nursing setting.
