About the role
The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for the successful utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR). The role involves working with physicians, office staff, nursing management and staff to utilize the EMR through auditing, analysis, and training.
Responsibilities
- Auditing and analyzing the medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborating with hospitals, physicians, nursing staff, and leadership to ensure all records are obtained and maintained in the EMR.
- Training staff, vendors, and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance with company, Federal, and State guidelines.
- Creating a supportive and engaging environment for residents and staff.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of one year in nursing management in the long-term industry.
- Two years of professional nursing experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative care or geriatric nursing setting.
- Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail/Accuracy: Ensures the medical record is complete and accurate.
Skills
- Training: Ability to teach and motivate staff, vendors, and other key stakeholders.
