About the role
The Medical Records Coordinator II supports the clinic Medical Records function and is responsible for ensuring all clerical duties are accurately performed.
Responsibilities
- Pull medical records for other departments and/or individuals as requested
- Electronically file medical records
- Prepare copies of medical records as requested
- Scan medical records, ensure all requests for copies of medical records are authorized and approved for issuance
- Review the medical record for completeness
- Facilitate obtaining necessary signatures from physicians and practitioners to complete the medical record
- File correspondence and other documents in medical records accurately
- Aid in mailing correspondence from the business office
- Work closely with other departments as needed to ensure the patient’s chart and information is complete to receive treatment
Requirements
- Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to relate and work effectively with others
- Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own growth and advancements
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated computer skills in utilizing Microsoft Office, integrated database, and other functions
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
- Two years clerical experience required
Qualifications and Preferred Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
