Medical Receptionist - Urgent Care
About the Role
Park Nicollet is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the Urgent Care Frontline team. This role supports both call center and front desk operations, ensuring quality service through timely and courteous assistance to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Call Center: Handle incoming calls with a minimum 93% availability during scheduled hours. Meet department-specific agent expectations for measurements and follow defined guidelines and processes.
- Front Desk: Greet patients, collect co-pays, schedule follow-up appointments and referrals, and support departmental clerical duties.
- Provide service support to patients requesting care, collaborating with all team members to maintain excellent patient experience and high-quality measures.
Requirements
- 6 months of related experience.
- Accurate computer/keyboarding skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles to ensure appropriate service and patient safety.
- Proficiency in operating telephone and headsets, PC, printer, photocopier, and fax machine.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Human relations sensitivity and customer service skills.
- Listening and telephone etiquette skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Comfort in asking patients for co-pays and race collection.
- Ability to promote and maintain good patient relations and confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and structured environment.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Schedule
Full-time equivalent (FTE) flexible: 0.8 - 1.0. Monday - Friday day shift.
