Medical Physicist - PRN

About the role

This role involves providing physics services for the planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatments in accordance with physicians' prescriptions. It includes offering technical leadership and clinical setup expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists. Additionally, the position requires performing quality assurance checks on department equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide physics expertise for therapeutic radiation treatment planning and delivery
• Offer technical leadership and clinical setup expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists
• Perform quality assurance checks on department equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices
• Support the clinical team in delivering precise radiation therapy

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Medical Physics or a related field
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in a radiation therapy setting or completion of a CAMPEP-approved residency

Qualifications

• (R) ARDMS or ARRT certification
• Eligibility as a Radiographer Board
• Authorization to use radioactive materials under state license
• Participation in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification Program
