Medical Physicist - PRN

This role involves providing physics services for the planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatments in accordance with physicians' prescriptions. It includes offering technical leadership and clinical setup expertise to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists. Additionally, the position requires performing quality assurance checks on department equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Medical Physics or a related field, and at least 3 years of clinical experience in a radiation therapy setting or completion of a CAMPEP-approved residency. Licenses and certifications necessary are (R) ARDMS or ARRT, eligibility as a Radiographer Board, authorization to use radioactive materials under state license, and participation in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification Program. Key duties include: providing physics expertise, ensuring equipment quality and safety, and supporting the clinical team in delivering precise radiation therapy.
