Medical Physicist - PRN

About the role

Provide physics services for the planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatment, ensuring adherence to the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Offer technical leadership, such as clinical set-up expertise, to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists. Perform quality assurance checks on all departmental equipment in compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Medical Physics or related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a radiation therapy department or completion of a CAMPEP-approved residency

Qualifications

• (R) ARDMS or ARRT, Radiographer Board Eligible by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiation Physics
• Ability to be listed as an authorized user on the State of Georgia Radioactive Material License
• Participation in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification Program
