About the role
The radiation physics specialist provides expertise in planning and delivering therapeutic radiation treatments aligned with the Radiation Oncologist’s prescriptions. They offer clinical set-up support to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists, ensuring accurate treatment delivery.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality assurance checks on all departmental equipment
- Adhere to regulatory standards and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Medical Physics or related field
- At least 3 years of clinical experience or completion of a CAMPEP-approved residency
- Radiographer Board Eligibility (ARDMS or ARRT)
- Authorization on the State of Georgia Radioactive Material License
- Participation in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification Program
