Medical Physicist - PRN

The role involves providing physics services for the planning and delivery of therapeutic radiation treatments in accordance with radiation oncologists' prescriptions. Responsibilities include: offering clinical set-up expertise, technical leadership, and performing quality assurance checks on departmental equipment to meet regulatory and industry standards. Qualifications: A Master's degree in Medical Physics or a related field, with at least 3 years of clinical experience in a radiation therapy setting or completion of a CAMPEP-approved residency. Licenses and Certifications: Must be ARDMS or ARRT Radiographer Board Eligible, able to be listed as an authorized user on the State of Georgia Radioactive Material License, and participate in the American Board of Radiology Maintenance of Certification Program. The position requires technical expertise, leadership, and adherence to safety and quality standards in radiation therapy.
