Medical Oncologist

About the role

This role is designed for a physician who values continuity of care, strong relationships with patients and referring providers, and a sustainable practice model—supported by a broad oncology network rather than practiced in isolation.

Responsibilities

• Build a long-term, community-based practice at our Monroe Campus in the Poconos
• Collaborate with established medical oncologists across the St. Luke’s Cancer Network
• Participate in a balanced and sustainable shared call structure
• Benefit from comprehensive multidisciplinary support including oncology nurses, navigators, pharmacists, social workers, financial counselors, and research staff
• Enjoy fully integrated EPIC EMR, including Ambient AI documentation and clinical decision-support tools to reduce clerical burden

Requirements

• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Medical Oncology
• Experience in community-based oncology practice
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with patients and referring providers

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current medical license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
