Medical Oncologist
About the role
The Dartmouth Cancer Center is seeking a BC/BE hematology/oncology physician to join their regional clinics in northern Vermont and New Hampshire. This position involves traveling between clinics in St. Johnsbury, VT, Littleton Hospital in Littleton, NH, and Weeks Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, NH. The role provides essential cancer care to patients and families in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and Northern New Hampshire. The position is supported by a clinical team that includes advanced practice providers, nurses, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, social workers, and dietitians. Ideal candidates should be able to collaborate effectively within an expanding integrated health system, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a strong clinical background.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical cancer care to patients and families in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and Northern New Hampshire.
- Collaborate with an excellent clinical team consisting of advanced practice providers, nursing staff, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, social workers, and dietitians.
- Engage in community service, education, and participation in clinical research.
- Eligible for an academic appointment through the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College at a rank commensurate with qualifications.
Requirements
- Candidate must be BC/BE in hematology/oncology.
- Must be eligible for ABIM and Medical Oncology Board Certification within 5 years.
- Current or eligible for New Hampshire and Vermont Medical Licenses.

Pay
The annual base salary range for this position is $410,000 to $475,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Incentive compensation may be available in addition to base salary.
