Administrative

  • Maintains effective/open communications with physicians.
  • Ensures OSHA and HIPAA compliance and provides ongoing training to staff.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
  • Creates and revises monthly doctor's schedule as necessary.
  • Ensures adherence to patient appointment scheduling protocols and revises as needed.
  • Reviews and approves/disapproves medical and office supply orders to maintain an adequate inventory.
  • Serves as a liaison for office facility issues with the building property manager.
  • Reports office problems, concerns, and related issues to Management Company.
  • Reviews and approves/disapproves all accounts payable invoices for payment.
  • Manages timekeeping/payroll for staff.
  • Collects patient co-payments and ensures any outstanding balances are collected at the time of visit.
  • Provides guidance for accurate and appropriate CPT and HCPCS coding on superbills.
  • Ensures daily reconciliation of superbills to the schedule for office visits and hospital log sheets before sending to the Billing Office.
  • Ensures all monies collected are balanced to the superbills daily before sending to the Billing Office.

Financial

  • Handles patient concerns in an efficient and caring manner to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Attempts resolution and/or provides direction for billing-related problems.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Medical Assistant Certification required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Two years' experience supervising, required.
  • Experience in Pediatrics, preferred.
