Schedule
Full Time, Day Shift 7:30am–4:30pm with Saturday and Sunday rotation required.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to physician practice, clinical staff, and patients.
- Greet, check in, and check out patients; schedule appointments; answer telephones and take messages.
- Collect co-pays and patient balances; verify insurance eligibility; update patient demographics.
- Meet TOS payments, eligibility, and denial rate performance metrics as assigned.
- Post payment and adjustment transactions; balance daily journal and close batches every day.
- Prepare and deliver bank deposits in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Mentor and train new staff as needed.
- Provide patient referrals (with physician direction) or ensure appropriate referrals have been obtained for required visits in specialty offices.
- Assign new patients to a provider and care team to establish a care partnership.
- Ensure scheduling consistency (continuity of care) for their care team.
- Follow all standard work protocols and complete order and referral reconciliation when asked.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to patient comfort, confidentiality, and concerns while maintaining a therapeutic environment.
- Provide coverage for other Core offices as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in a customer service environment.
- BCLS within 6 months of hire.
