Responsibilities
- Professionally and efficiently handle incoming requests from patients and providers, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and thoroughly.
- Provide quality service and support in areas such as scheduling, registration, and care coordination.
- Carry out duties and responsibilities with limited supervision, making decisions and establishing work priorities as needed.
- Complete regular tasks without repeated instructions.
- Provide support for medical matters on behalf of physicians.
- Process activities in EPIC, including coordinating clinic follow-up for high-importance tasks.
- Respond to ad hoc patient inquiries and requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner, communicating relevant information to and from the physician.
- Prepare to support clinic activities from home in case of JHU closure.
- Provide coverage for the Division front desk and telephone lines as needed or assigned.
- Provide back-up support coverage for lunches, illness, and other time-off requests as needed or assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of administrative experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of general medical terminology.
Additional education may substitute for one year of experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Epic experience.
Pay
Starting salary range: $16.60 - $29.50 hourly ($44,107 targeted).
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
