Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)/Medical Technologist (MT/CLS)/Full Time - 2nd shift (Florence, SC)
About the role
MUSC/Florence is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT/CLS) to join our team. This position works second shift and is full-time.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests according to established protocols and procedures.
- Prepares specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures.
- Operates automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Performs quality control and assurance procedures.
- Records lab results in specified system.
- Fulfills HIPAA privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited/NAACLS approved program for Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
- One to two years experience working in an accredited laboratory preferred.
Qualifications
- Certification as a laboratory professional by ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW is needed.
