About the role

As a Patient Service Specialist, you will manage both the patient side and the business side of our outpatient physical therapy center in Pasadena. You will greet and register patients, provide information about their visit and next appointment, schedule appointments, communicate with various parties, collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance verifications.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients and provide information about their visit and next appointment
  • Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone
  • Communicate with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies, translation companies, operational leaders, and business development team
  • Collect co-pays from patients
  • Manage payer approvals
  • Conduct insurance authorizations and verifications

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of scheduling experience
  • Customer service experience
  • One year of front desk experience
  • Healthcare experience

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED. One year of scheduling experience, customer service experience, and one year of front desk experience are preferred. Healthcare experience is also preferred.

Skills

Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are essential.

Pay

$17.00 - $19.00/hour (pending experience)

Schedule

Monday - Friday (some days starting at 7am and 2 evenings per week till 7pm)
