Medical Director - Physiatrist (PM&R)

About the role

The Medical Director will provide services of a minimum of 20 hours per week in our 16-bed acute rehab unit at San Juan Regional Medical Center, serving patients in need of comprehensive rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical direction in conformance with the facility's policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, including CMS and The Joint Commission.
• Collaborate with the Program Director and the entire clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Work in an outpatient clinic and do inpatient consults as needed.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Current medical license in the state of New Mexico
• Experience in rehabilitation medicine or related field
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
